Ka Pow! Using the Nutribullet (aka the Modern Man's Favourite Kitchen Power Tool)

Posted by Cameron Wakefield on

Rightly or wrongly I don't own any power tools in the traditional sense.  What I do own is a Nutribullet, "The Modern Man's Favourite Kitchen Power Tool".   Versatile and easy to clean, able to mix juices, protein shakes (and cocktails) quickly and easily.

Traditional fresh juices are great but way too much hassle to clean up.  That's where the Nutribullet steps into its own, easy to clean and dishwasher safe (yes. I clean too)

My go-to recipe is...

Green Apples and Pears

What you’ll need:

  • 1/2 apple
  • 1/2 pear
  • Spinach leaves
  • 2 ts Good Health Spirulina
  • 1 cup of almond milk
  • 1 cup of coconut water

 What you'll need to do:

Place all ingredients in the Nutribullet and blend for 20 seconds. Pour into glass. Drink up.

Green Apples and Pear Juice

I also use the Nutribullet for entertaining.  Frozen Rose or "Frozeys" (pronounced Frozé) are very much on trend right now.

This recipe is really simple and bloody tasty.

Frozéys for the Broséys

What you’ll need:

  • 1 punnet of strawberry's
  • Sugar to taste (1/4 -1/2 cup)
  • 1/2 cup of water

What you’ll need to do:

  1. Pour rose into an ice cube tray and freeze (4 hours +)
  2. Make the strawberry syrup:
    1. Cut strawberries up into quarters then add to saucepan with water and sugar
    2. Cook by stirring constantly for 3 minutes
    3. Strain out strawberry's leaving a delicious syrup.
  3. Using your Nutribullet blend in the strawberry syrup, frozen rose and enjoy there and then or place back in the freezer for half an hour to thicken.
  4. Best drunk in the hot sun.

Try it and let me know what you think of it.
